  • Clicking Hard Drive RecoveryData Recovery for Hard Drives

Please note that if your hard drive is making a clicking sound and the headers are found to be damaged we will firstly need to locate the same model drive before a recovery can be done.

We aim to complete all our recoveries in a maximum of 4 days. However some hard drive models can take longer to find a match for. We will contact you after the hard drive has been analysed and a exact model replacement is found. Our clicking hard drive recovery services have been performed on SATA, IDE and RAID drives. For RAID recoveries it is extremely important that the PCB board of the drive remains fully operational.

When a hard drive is making a clicking sound and it is not possible to read the data on the drive, it is mostly due to a failure of the headers on the hard drive. Many new hard drives have 4 headers and two platters.

We base our price of a clicking drive recovery on a number of factors. It is standard practice for this type of recoveries to use three drives. The original drive, a new drive to be stripped for new headers. And finally the third new drive to copy the information of the original drive.

  • File Undelete

Once data has been deleted it is possible to overwrite the content by adding new data to the hard drive.

We always advise not to add any new information to the media until all the valuable deleted data has been recovered or undeleted. This is because the sectors on the disk can be overwritten with newer data making older data fragile and lowering the quality of the recovered data.

  • Drive Recovery ProcessProfessional Data Recovery

Once we receive the drive we will first analyse the drive to determine how much data we can recover and the time scale for the recovery. For larger drives the recovery time can increase due to the transfer time of your data. Please remember to provide all of your contact details including a return address when using this service.

Please inform us of the type of data that is most important to you before we perform a recovery, for example if you have important pictures, music or documents etc.

Once a Recovery has been completed we will send back the Memory card or device complete with your recovered data.
